Canadian Pharmacy

Among the current run of things, there are two fundamental issues that the US government needs to look into. As in the UK, some pharmacists have concerns about this expansion of technicians' roles, particularly since professional registration for pharmacy technicians is still voluntary in Canada, although it is likely that it will become compulsory in the near future.
A Government Accountability Office (GAO) Committee on aging held in June 2004 found that "Unlicensed international pharmacies do certified online pharmacy canada not require a prescription, and are generally located off shore." No prescription pharmacies can be found all over the world.

This has resulted in consumers turning to online pharmacies for their medical needs, and in particular pharmacies with a relationships with a physician, which allow the consumer to completely bypass the traditional brick and mortar pharmacies, with the added benefit of having their physician act as an intermediary between the consumer and the pharmacy.
The question becomes, what do you do if you’re an American and you suffer from an illness which requires you to be dependent on prescription drugs to function in your normal, productive way, and yet you can’t afford the ever increasing rates that are being saddled to nearly all forms of medications.

Though the Canadian group is working to create greater awareness of ordering drugs online from our northern neighbor, officials from the Food and Drug Administration are warning consumers against it — and reminding Americans that it is against the law.
This is not a fable, it’s not a scary bedtime story; it’s real life, and it’s a problem that affects a growing number of honest, hardworking Americans as the years pass by and the prices go up and up. And as the years pass by in one’s own life, the amount of drugs we have to take rises exponentially, which means that the biggest sufferers from the high cost of prescription drugs is usually senior citizens.
They included some that were suspect, such as those identified by e-mail solicitations and web searches using terms like online pharmacy” and cheap medicines.” The study found that over 90 percent of the websites didn't require prescriptions to sell prescription-only drugs, and nearly 85 percent didn't provide information linking them to a verifiable walk-in pharmacy.

Hospital pharmacists may therefore be involved in activities such as reviewing drug charts, medicines reconciliation, therapeutic drug monitoring, drug use evaluation, adverse drug reaction reporting, medication counselling and, increasingly, prescribing, again depending on the provincial laws.
